MetaTraffic v2 beta 6

The IP addresses are only clickable if MetaTraffic detects which country the IP address is from. The reason for this is that there are different internet number registries that are based geographically. If MetaTraffic doesn't know the correct country (and thus the correct registry) to lookup the IP address info, it can't reliably be found.

I just ran the setup again, and used the upgrade otption so I wouldn't lose my data, and I get the following errors:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e37'

The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'PageLog'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.

The upgrade option is only for upgrading v1.3 to 2. You will not lose your data.

As I suspected, it is not loading the definitions or country data. It appears as though setup can't find the country and definition files which are supposed to be in a folder called data. You need to extract these from the MetaTraffic zip file and either load these using the setup program or in the settings section of the report generator.

When I try to use the settings option to update the definitions and countries, I get:

Could not write file. Check permissions and ensure the IUSR_machine account has MODIFY permissions to the tmp folder.

any answers on this issue for me yet? I contacted my isp about permissions on the definitions and countries files and they said:

"The IUSR account has full permissions on those files. However, your message specifies a tmp directory. There is no tmp directory in the ./reports/ directory"

I do not have a tmp directory in my main filder where I have metatraffic installed, do I need one?

Ok, I created the data directory and I was able to upload them. But, I still can't ckick on the ip addresses. Do I need to run setup again or something?

The tmp folder was supposed to be removed from MetaTraffic but obviously there were a couple things that weren't. This has been fixed in Beta7 which should be released in the next few days. When its available I would suggest you read the installation instructions and try a re-install from scratch.

I got it to work using the data directory. If I do a reinstall, won't I lose my data? I got the definitions and countries files uploaded using the settings upload, but it still doesn't work right. Any ideas?

Hmm, now it's working. Didn't do anything. Well, thanks for all your help!!
