MetaTraffic 2.0 Boxshot

Add a new searchengine

Posted by MO [September 14, 2004]

In Denmark, we have a search engine called Jubii.
I would like to add this engine to the definitions, can i do that ?

A search look like this:
http://search.jubii.dk/cgi-bin/pursuit?cat=loc&query=metasun

I use PRO 2.0

Thx.

Add a new searchengine

Yes, you can. In the coming weeks I am going to be posting information on how to maintain MetaTraffic, including adding custom definitions. In the meantime, here are some brief instructions on how to update your definitions:

- create a new updated definitions.txt file by opening it in a text editor, this is located in the data folder of MetaTraffic

- at the bottom of the file, add the following line:

Jubii||^.*search\.jubii\.dk/.*$||query||http://www.jubii.dk||4

(make sure the above line is not line wrapped)

- save the file and proceed to Settings > Maintenane in MetaTraffic. now update your definitions with the new file you created.

Let me know how that works out for you.

Add a new searchengine

sorry for asking here, but would that also work for a internal search engine? I want to track what people search for.
Thanks

Add a new searchengine

You could. The exact format would depend on the way your search engine worked.
