Hey guys, me again! :D
Starting a new topic, why not after all right ?
The question is relatively simple :
What are the "pros" and "cons" of two suggested logging methods, actually the "js" or "asp" methods based on the type of pages they're used on ?
I know that the "js" method allows to get the screen resolution, as per a discussion covered in another topic. That works perfectly for both "htm" and "asp" page, cool.
However, what piece of information is or is not available depending of the logging method being used and the type of page on which it is being used on?
I'm asking this simply because I have roughly 12,000 records, but no entry for the "keywords" nor for the "robots".
Is there a procedure we could use to perform a test to validate the functionality and ensure that the site's settings are not causing an unexpected situation ?
Regards.
Pros and Cons
If you want the 'screen resolution' data you need to use the "js" logging method and if you want the 'robots' data you need to use the 'asp' logging method. I don't think there is a way to get both.
As far as I am aware, the 'keywords' data is entered into the database whichever method you use.

Mark,
For the screen resolution, I guess the other topic I was refering to covers that pretty well.
Since I've been using the "asp" logging method since pretty much the beginning, I would have expected some entries for the so called "robots", however I have none! (Roughly 60 days)
For the keywords thing, I really don't know. No records so far.
Having a mixture of "asp" and "js" logging methods should eventually bring something, but I just wanted to make sure my setup is not wrong.
Regards.
