I just encountered this program and I think it worths using it.
So, I would like to know, before purchasing it, the intentions of it's author about future upgrades.
What plans do they exist for new futures and in what schedule.
Any plans for a .NET version?
Will it remain "open" source?
I would like to be able to contribute new futures myself from time to time and I would like to know more on this from the fellow users in these forums.

Future of MetaTraffic
We don't have a schedule for release but we are actively working on version 3.0 of MetaTraffic. We are also releasing minor updates from time to time as you can see from our most recent news. Yes, there are plans for a .NET version.
By open source I assume you mean just being able to view/edit the source. There are no plans to change the way we are distributing the code but we reserve the right to change that in the future.
We have had contributions in the past that have been incorporated but usually its more the idea and the code was rewritten to fit better within the framework of the existing code.
