Setting up a demo for a customer, we are testing both a Mysql 4.1 DB, and a Mysql 5.0 DB, we get the same error with both -

STEP 4: Creating new database tables...SUCCESS
STEP 5: Testing database permissions...FAILED

Description: [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.0.45-log]Table 'mt2lite50.mt_Config' doesn't exist
Go back and try again.
