This just started happening overnight.
When i try to log into MT using the same username and pass that i have been using all along, it takes forever. After a few minutes it will log into the default page. Generating a report from there takes another few minutes.
new version of MT is used.
Should i try replaceing the MT asp files?
Logging into MT lags
I tried to log into MT from computer while watching the taskmanager on the server. Right when i submited by log in info, the DLLHOST memory usage SKYROCKETED. It went from about 1,500 K to over 70,000k.
DLLHOST is responsible for allocating memory to ASP scripts. After searching on this subject everything everyone said was it was caused by some bad ASP code someplace.
Has the downloadable version changed latley? The last server i installed it on it inflated the DLLHOST so much that it shut down IIS.
Anyone see anything similar in the DLLHOST memory usage when using MT?
Logging into MT lags
Good day,
Before throwing the fault at DLLHOST or MT, I would personally remove EVERYTHING from MT and re-install it from scratch as per the documentation, without any addition of bells or whistles.
Once you know that MT is working as expected, then you can start to customize it at your will, but always keep a plan "B" in case you want to revert the changes you did.
The idea of installing the package as per the docs is simply to ensure a consistency point and confirming if MT is working adequately with environement or not.
So when installing the package, limit the customization to the minimum. Do some tests to confirm if the reporting is working fine along with the tracking.
Once everything is fully operational, you can then have fun and customize it, so if something is happening, you'll know for sure that this is something related to the customization, and not the scripts composing the package.
As far as the version is concerned, v 1.3 is the latest one.
Have fun...
Logging into MT lags
It was the scripts that were causing the memory leak, but it was due to a corrupt download, not a programming fault.
I reinstalled the MT scripts on this server and it works great. I got the ASP site working as well to check out the robot tracking
