Sorry... but I dont speak english
I think it would be a nice addition to list Keywords for Search Engines. The search engines list Its possible modify :?:
Thx
Assuming you're speaking french, I included my reply in english and french. If you're speaking another language, then I'm out of luck!
- Which version of MetaTraffic are you using ?
- In version 1.3, a report on the keywords is available
- Yes it is possible to add new Search Engines to the reference list, however you need to know which "parameters" they're using in order to parse the querystring properly.
Ex : Search Engine "Abracadabra" may use parameter "info=", so you would add the necessary parameters to the search engines array, and you're then in business. Keep in mind that you will need to increment manually the dimension of the array to accomodate the new specifications.

thanks daniel for the answer.

I use MetaTraffic 1.3
quote:- In version 1.3, a report on the keywords is available
Yes, a keywords list is available, but not this:
Keywords for Search engines:
Google.com
- key1....5
- key2....3
- key3....1
On the site where I'm testing MT, I didn't get any entries so far for the keywords, therefore I never saw the "Keywords" report in action. I'm suspecting that the site is not indexed by the search engines as I would like it to be. I wish someone would come with a clear procedure on how to ensure a dynamic ASP site can be indexed properly, as it is a known fact that the search engines don't handle ASP sites that well.
However, formatting the information in a way that would present more details as you suggested would certainly be an interesting alternative.
If you know VBScript, this report can be added rather easily. If you don't, this could be a bit of a different story.
I modified the scripts and the database so much on my end, that I can't rely on my copy to diagnose problems or evaluate suggestions people may have. I have installed the originaly distributed MT locally, with a minimal amount of records, making it easier for me to reproduce situations encountered by the other people.
Nevertheless, I would believe that Chad is keeping a close eye on the forums, so if he has any further comments/suggestions to add, he sure will stop by and drop a few lines.
Ok daniel, thanks for the interest.
For my site the search engine optimation they are an *important* fact, MT it is an optimal simple and fast instrument.
If in future, MT it had instruments of analysis also on the side of the Search Engine would be perfect. ;)
Thanks
